RICK HEIZMAN

Solo Guitar

Rick Heizman is a well-known and accomplished San Francisco Bay Area guitarist, now based in Novato - between San Francisco and the Wine Country.  A lifetime player, he is a master of many diverse styles - Jazz (old and new), Brazilian (choro, bossa nova, samba), Classical (all eras), Folk (British, Irish, American), Popular
(Beatles to current) Jewish (Klezemer, Israeli, Sephardic), Italian (many styles), and other great musics of the world from Russia, Hungary, Romania, Peru, Nepal, India, China, Indonesia, and Japan.
Rick actually has and plays instruments of the world, in addition to being known as guitarist extraordinaire. He has worked for Smithsonian documenting music in Asia, among other such endeavors.

Rick can play just about about anything you can think of on guitar - he has been requested, and performed, anything from Theme from Jurassic Park to Rhapsody in Blue to Angels and Demons from the The De Vinci Code! He is a very sharp arranger when performing with other instruments, and can easily and quickly score parts for
Violin, Cello, Flute, Bass, or Mandolin.

Rick performs as: a solo guitarist, duos with violin, flute, sax, clarinet, mandolin, jazz harmonica, or 2 guitars, trios by adding a cello, bass, or 2nd violin, quartets and more.
